Description
Mina (NekhbetSun) posted a photo of where she does her creating, and asked others to show their creative spaces, so here's mine.
The upper photos are of my writing room. If you look close you can see some dolls I made of me and LJ,sitting on the lounge chair. The bottom is my bedroom, where I lay in bed with my laptop into the wee hours of the night and do most of my artwork. Of course my little doxies are there for every pixel.:o)
The upstairs of my home is kind of Victorian decor - and the lower level is tropical/african. Crazy, huh? Several people have asked to see pics of my house so I'll post some. CC
Note: What I've discovered through the years is it doesn't matter what your creative space looks like, because all the beauty and imagining goes on inside the space between your ears. :o)

A most cozy and fantastic room/rooms. It shows where the creativity comes from. Wonderful. You have guts, I wouldn't dare show my office or house, the dust bunnies would revolt and then I would be in bigger trouble than I already am. lolol

You know, I think one can always tell a true artist from the average "joe" by their "style" of living, and choice of decoration. These rooms are all lovely and the very arrangement and the choice of furniture is highly stylistic and so well placed. Seems as though each and every one of these rooms expresses something different and has a language of its own--- the colours and the tiny details all come together to make for a very creative and elegant home--- a "space" of one's own. I love the deep burgundy colours throughout .... very classy and majestic. I think your home is magical and has a beautiful energy that emanates from it, even through your photographs. I know it's difficult to capture this essence, but you have done so, ever so greatly. They look like images from a doll's house. I think my favourite one is the bedroom "scene" wherein you have depicted a Princess room. I think I'd spend all my time in this particular room, just reflecting on all its beauty. A beautiful painting in the background--- so sensual, and most perfectly suited in this room. Thank you so much for allowing us into your sacred space, your "home", and what a creative "space" at that.

What a lovely place! I think the Victorian feel of it is fabulous, I love that place in time. Considering I still live at home with my mother, my items really don't leave my bedroom, so I don't have that much room to spread out, if you will ;) I've got my computer in one corner of my closet, where all my clothes are hung up, and then at one point I had my little painting corner on the other side of it. Don't paint much anymore, shamefully, and I miss it so. =( Elsewhere in my room, there are random stacks of notebooks (some empty, some half-way full, but non completelt full up), and pens lying all about (it really is a mess, I should clean tomorrow...) and post-it notes for any storyboards I may or may not set up on the single bare wall. A mug of pencils on my nightstand, books absolutely EVERYWHERE, a random case of charcoals, my sketchbook and of course, my photographs. I love them. I want to be surrounded by the people I love at all times, so on most free spaces there is at least one or two pictures. Aaaaaand...that's where I create. And sleep. Sleep is important. nod Thank you so much for letting me into your home! I would let you into mine, but goodness me, it's rather untidy... if you'll excuse me, please hurries to get the featherduster
