Description

Another installment in my on again off again project to make a v3 version of T'Pol (played by Jolene Blalock) from the show Star Trek: Enterprise. Some of you requested more T'pol, so here's the latest progress on her. I'm up to mark X4 (14), and you may note an improved ear shape, skin texture (uses some actual Jolene Blalock Skin features taken from hi res photos), and pushed in philtrum as improvements over my earlier attempts. Here we also see my latest attempts to give her some accurate clothes from the later seasons, which while I like the results so far, is no where near done. To be perfectly honest, trying to paint straight lines on the V3 catsuit is a complete bitch and a half due to the shoulders, arms and backside being in completely different places on the texture map. You can see that here where the horizontal strip on her chest just ends, that's where the shoulder texture begins (a completely different spot on the tex map for both left and right arms). The fact that the legs on the tex map spread out in a "Y" fashion make me rack my brain on how to continue the diagonal stripe pattern all the way done her thighs without warping. In short, by the time I get the lines right by trial and error no one will even be using V3 anymore! I'm tempted to start over with a V4 version perhaps. Other than that I can show this model as a portrait, in decent T'Pol pjs, in her starfleet grey underoos, and of course nude... Aside from putting 3 renders together as one there's no postwork on this one. [comments are always welcome]

She looks great so far, for the UV map, you may be able to correlate the dots on the original UV texture map from Daz, otherwise its just trial and error. For the neckline, it would be cool to add some fake shadow so the second skin looks like it has depth. Other than that- pure perfection!

She looks amazing, I'd say your progressing nicely. As for the texturing being a nightmare, you've done brilliantly despite the problems.

No complaints about using V3, I mean I'm not knocking your V4 version but trust people will still use V3. Heck some people still use Posette so don't give up so soon.

I'll be using V3 for a longgggggg time, V4 in a cool costume crashes my PC! Besides I like V3 better!! Even if I was using V4 though, I dust off V3 for the MK XXVVII (LOL!)
