Description

On the way home from the hike we stopped at a viewpoint to look back up the beautiful Hood River Valley toward Mt. Hood. I took the liberty of adding a red dot to mark the spot of our highest ascent. Moving down from the dot you can clearly see the saddle where we had lunch, and the glacier below and to the right. The hike started way down to the left, just below treeline. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Well your little red dot certainly puts into perspective the extent of your hike - WOW, what a long walk that was!! I've loved this series Dennis and anticipate your next one with as much enthusiasm. The scenery here is breath-taking and I feel privaleged to have "walked" the path with you. Excellent. xx

I am so impressed. I ache to do such a thing. Perhaps if I keep exercising and keep to a good diet I can hike again someday. I can only hope. Beautiful view and outstanding shot.

It's so beautiful from the bottom. :~) Can't believe you went so high. Have you ever thought of climbing instead of hiking? I don't expect it would be the same thing at all though.
