Description

Tucker Tower is located on lake Murrey in Oklahoma, USA and was Built in 1930s to be the Governor's summer residence but was never occupied. In 1950 it became a museum of natural history. Thanks to everyone for viewing!

Great capture of an interesting place. I've not heard of it before, sounds like a good place to visit on my next Oklahoma adventure.

Isn't that the way it goes? Spend the taxpayer's money and then walk away. We had a similar thing here when Reagan refused to live in our Governor's mansion and it was abandoned. It fell to disrepair while another home was located as a "temporary residence". The mansion was then refurbished for a lively amount of money and is now open for tours. So far, the state has not found another permanent Governor's residence. A lovely look at this beautiful and impressive tower.
