Description
Oil on canvas 70mmx1050mm
Many of the paintings in I have done over the last two years are based on the theme of struggle and hope. Be glad in your struggle, because struggles produces perseverance, perseverance produces character and character, hope; And hope does not disappoint.
I see Trees as a reflection of life. These angophoras know what it is to grow in tough conditions. Tough conditions mean deep roots. Trees have to hang on to life, to want it when they are growing in difficult terrain. Who stops by t look at or paint a plain straight trunked tree. Not it is the tree with character that attracts our attention. It is the hope we see in a tree that like this one that has overcome inspires us. So be joyful when life appears to be a bit tough - those with silver spoons are often a bit dull. (BY the way for those that don't live around Sydney Australia the colours are very real)
