Description
Captured 4/18/07, around 7:30 AM, somewhere within walking distance of my abode.
Thought I would take a break from my series of lake reflections and bizarre foliage, which I know you just adore, and return to the arena of supreme visual satisfaction among most RR members, i.e., photos of flowers, especially roses.
Nothing like early morning or late afternoon sunlight for floral shots.

My favorite time of day for flower shots is minutes after the sun appears on the horizon. There is a glow that hits the air for just a few minutes that really warms the shot. I like this rose shot. Its an older bloom and soon will drop its petals but it has a wisened look about it as if it has learned much since it was just a bud. :-) Very nice shot with good lighting and an excellent, straight on pov.

I was looking at how blue roses are made. I had never thought of it before. Red, yellow and white seemed enough. I did not even seek variegated. This one is very open like a primrose.
