Description

I have only seen a red dragonfly 3 times period that I recall.they are fairly common, even though they have eluded me thanks for viewing and any comments this one was not cooperative and would not let me approach from the front.when I would even get close, it would start waving it's wings and then finally take off.I would wait and it would return to the same place

Wow! How did I miss this yesterday, another fantastic image, I have never seen one this colour before, the ones I see are mostly blue green in colour. Amazing clarity in the wing structure. Bravo!!!!

I don't think I have ever seem a red one before. This is a real treat. Insects seem to be so touchy. Hard to get a really great shot. But, I must say, you did a fantastic job. Aloha

I do love bugs .. teehee!! This one is a beauty, another favorite bug. I tried getting shots of dragonflies, and they are just too vigilant. We have a red one also, but it's more like what we call a darning needle, very slim bodied.
