I love the old fencing in the background surrounded by the rust and articles of a lifetime. A wonderful piece Denzil, with as much depth as the still waters you mention.

Everything within evokes a basic simplicity of life, and the horns explain the setting. Does death give purpose to life, or does it's inevitability provoke an insistent search for purpose. Notwithstanding the onward rush of life takes us through and beyond.

Coupled with your title, you make me think of how well I have known or not known the people who have cross my path in life, some walking some distance with me. I don't like to pry, so I wait for people to offer information about themselves. But what happens if they don't speak? Do I ever really know them? And, how can I expect people to know me, if I don't share myself with them. All too soon, we are gone. Who knew? We are not our possessions. You make me a philosopher, Denzil. LOL I love the color palette, and the variety of patterns and shapes. A winner in many ways. Hugs, Suzanne ;)
