Whatever you needed, the country store usually had it. This was photographed near Mesopotamia Ohio.

Old fashioned softserve, Sunbeam bread, an ATM machine, and a dish on the roof. Yup - that's a pretty fair slice of Americana! Great capture.

Yes, we had those too, especially in the small villages. It's a pitty that most of them disapeared because together with your milk and chocolate you got a "How nice to see you again! Have you been on vacation?"...
