Description

------------- Tales of the Silver Gryphon - Sahara

As the dust and sand settled around them, Erienne could make out a form coalescing in the center of the wind and blowing dust, a lithe, female form, as beautiful as Rowan, with a strange air about her that spoke of mystic powers and otherworldly ways, and a dress of thin veils that seemed to float on the wind even after the wind had stopped blowing. Shimmering scimitars hung at her hips and her long black hair flowed back and around her shoulders like the ethereal wisps of her dress. Her skin tone, jewelry and the golden fobs and baubles adorning her wrists, ankles, forehead and neck made her out to be a Symballan harem dancer of some sort. Savra knew better.

"Sahlam malak'alam, effendi."

The woman bowed slightly.

"Your mother sends her greetings. I see you have joined with those who now bear our name."

"Indeed." Savra turned back to the others, now staring at her, wondering if they should put their swords away.

"This is an old friend of my mother's, Sahara al'Malak, formerly of the Pharaoh's Silver Gryphon. Lady Sahara, may I introduce the Silver Gryphon Legacy. Now, perhaps you could tell me why my mother sends you to us."

Sahara smiled. Stepping forward, it was as if she was made of air. Like a ghost, she seemed to be in two places at the same time.

"She was concerned for your safety."

Savra raised an eyebrow. Her disbelief was obvious even to those who didn't know her. Lady Sahara smiled and narrowed her eyes.

"Alright. She was concerned for the success of your mission. There are other things at play here besides spice smuggling, things requiring the attention of an agent of the Pharaoh's court. And she did tell me that if I happened to run across her wayward daughter, I should make sure she didn't get herself killed or otherwise embarrass the name of Selegan."

Great scene and write up. That said, spice? blue within blue eyes? Me thinks there be a Dune influence behind this set?

Nice...will be seeing the djinn version in action next? Couple of observations though....I think its the way her skirt looks, but it kinda makes her legs look to stubby for the character in question, specifically her left leg, The look a little longer on her character sheet, but that could just be the pose. Also I think she should have on of the those arab veils in this pic, but that could be just me :).

Symballan women don't wear veils,... its a predominantly ancient Egyptian styled culture,... Arrallon isn't encumbered with either Islamic or Christian religions.
