Description

The room now came back into view, though; the ceiling was no longer distant. It now was as if a glowing sunset was reflecting off a gold and silver sea onto it. Heaven must look like this… The crouched figure of Death, a boned hand grasping the mystical scythe to keep itself from falling to the floor, spoke from its thousands of voices. **ENOUGH** **YOU HAVE WON THE GAME** “Couldn’t you have seen that coming? You are Death after all…” **UNLIKE YOU, I MUST FOLLOW THE LAWS THAT GOVERN THE UNIVERSE. THOSE LAWS PLACED AT THE BEGINNING OF TIME REQUIRE ME TO BATTLE.** -----“I still don’t get it. All that time and energy wasted, all the damage done…” **I DO NOT EXPECT MORTAL CHILDREN TO FOLLOW, MUCH LESS, UNDERSTAND THE LAWS THAT GOVERN** “The laws that govern…” **I AM STILL BOUND BY THE LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE. THE GAME HAD TO RUN ITS COURSE** “So, what happens now?” Death regained its footing and stood. **I SHALL GRANT YOU WHAT I CAN** “My friend here…” There was a sound from behind the standing boy and his friend walked and stood next to him. -----“Uh…did I…” “Yeah, but we won, so you’re back.” The boy did not look away from Death. “My second…” Death cut him short on this, **I CAN NOT RETURN A SOUL WITHOUT A BODY FOR IT TO LIVE THROUGH, THAT GOES AGAINST THE LAWS OF NATURE** “That’s fine.” He turned to his now living friend. “You know what I need.” -----“Yeah, it’s just lucky that I’m her brother.” He pulled a small vial and a silver knife out of his side pack. He mumbled a few words and slit the palm of his hand, letting the blood drain into the vial…handing it to his friend, “I hope you do this right.” “Don’t worry.” He pulled out a small lock of hair from his front pocket, and mumbling a few more words, inserted it into the vial. Waving the wand over it, it suspended itself in midair. Taking out the bottle with the door chips in it, he uncorked it and tapped the smallest splinter into the blood. The boy raised his wand again, waved it around the glass… “Vita ex Nex, Defaeco Lupus, Indutus quod Tepidus, Virgo, Virgo quod Putus.”

Thank goodness this isn't a Sunday serial! I don't think I could wait for a week between fixes!
