Not really sure what kind of critter this is...some type of Leaf Hopper I suspect. He seems to be well armoured though. Nikon D70 August 12th, 2007 Many Thanks for your views and comments on my last upload..."Small World...Grumpy"

True bug, sucking mouthparts, Hemiptera, if memory serves. We call them "Shield Bugs," so your observation about the armor seems to be in line with the common name. Cool shot.
