Description

TMFV page 005. Back at it. Another page in the can. Lots of issues with CPU resources and had to do some major layering to make this page possible. Lots of tricks with alpha planes and multiple pass renderings to extend what resources my laptop can provide. Used: Poser, Max, Vue, Silo, PS, Comic Book Creator and new this page, Modo and Quidam. (Recently purchased and still learning) Enjoy, comments always appreciated!

cue spooky music done on a Theremin, easily drowning out the sound of munchy crunchy popcorn...... shown in a theatre equipped with tinglers in every seat. crossfade to Ken Tobey as the Air Force Major looking at the Radar screen "Well, they went down over California, somewhere.... scramble the search teams, we have to find them" this series is coming along nicely, can't wait to see the ETTA's (extra terrestrial teen agers)

Really fascinated by the style of this. Very cool comic effect...would like to know how you achieve it? I think Vivian is right...take me home, lol. You just KNOW that someone is going to get hurt.

up to 60 images now... good job. I should be back on the net soon... real soon I hope. I'm still waiting for that Betty Boop - LOL. Comic looks great. Everything looks great. Advice? Maybe change the "Ranch" sign... To me it looks like it doesn't belong - style? Maybe. Hi 5.

Well done!! I've not read comics for many years; but, I remember my favorites: 'Weird Science' and 'Weird Fantasy' of the mid to late fifties. Great stuff you've done here! I suggest you do a search on Google about the two SciFi mags ...you'll find the subject matter and art work very interesting.

Wow that's one big flying saucer I hope they payed for parking. Love the style and feel of it. Sometimes you don't need big graphic to tell a story very well made.

Ahh, the ol' "render figure 1, load figure 2, hide figure 1, render new figure, repeat" method still works for me in terms of rendering multiple figures, as tedious as it is. I must say I'm liking the story, and I'll bet they're communist-aliens of some sort. Why do I think that? So you can use the line "Let's send those commies back to their mommies!" on the next page :)

Very effective look to this series! Nicely done! I've been avoiding multipass rendering, simply because I hate doing a lot of postwork, but it looks like I'll have to go the same route to get the effects and scenes I want.
