Description
Built in the aftermath of the Jacobite uprising this is the best preserved fortress of its kind in the UK. Just 12 miles east of Inverness on the shore of the Moray Firth. Open to the public and a good vantage point for dolphin watching.

:-) I'll go there next time I'm in Inverness with the kids and we have a car!. Did the dolphin tour this time but didn't see the dolphins...still we had a nice wee boat trip round the Moray Firth!! Lovely photo.
