Description
last friday i saw a picture of one of the 'stairs' images by escher and i wondered if i could do the technical part in 3d. well, it gave me a bit of a headache but i got a reasonable image but what ever i tried i never could get it completely right, which is no wonder as in all of his clever images there is some trickery. this trickery i could not do in 3d so, in the end, i had to go back to 2d to make it right. this clearly proves what i once said, 3d does not exist! 2d rules!
i post this one as a wip in the 3d modeling forum, as it was done in sketchup with only the distortion of the perspective in a vectors prog.
it's not finished yet, there have to be done lots of banisters and doors - i will not add people as that would mean i have go to poser and i am not a poser fan and never will be. (don't think those busty ladies would fit on the stairs either) there will just be the red pawn :-).

What a great reproduction of Escher's Stairs Koosie!!! I just opened my book and compared his 'Original' with your 'Copy' and you really have done a superb job here, M.C.Escher would be proud of you!
