Description

On a small planet in a far away galaxy that is unknown to us, live the dream weavers of old. They are a gentle race whose dream weaving skills are beyond compare. There are many unexplained happenings in the universe and dream weaving is definitely one of them. Each of us has a life tapestry upon which we embroider our hopes and desires. What we do not know and what we have not heard about yet is who makes these tapestries. Is it really a tapestry in the physical sense or is it a tapestry in the metaphysical sense? I believe that it is the latter. So how would one go about weaving such a tapestry if it does not have a physical reality? The answer is very carefully. Yes, I am a science fiction nut and tend to live in an altered state of reality but I really would like to believe that something like this might exist. Therefore, given that this could be a reality of sorts that is beyond our current ability to investigate, perhaps the dream weavers do exist in the universe I have created. Perhaps they are from an ancient race of shaman or spiritual healers. Whatever their background may be, I have it on good authority that they are a mystical race and are rarely seen by mortals. I have to ponder this point and wonder how the weaving of a dream tapestry might be done. I have come to the conclusion that on the days when I daydream the threads of my dreams are snatched up and gathered in a bundle. These bundles of dreams are then laid out in the field of dreams where the Hickamore Faeries gather them for transport to the dream weavers’ world. Created in Apophysis. I can see a lot of beautiful dreams being woven here and it would be great if we knew how our dreams were created and then we could weave out the bad ones and just keep the good ones. A lovely fractal and story.

You know that whole chicken and egg thing? Well I read your amazing shorts and wonder which comes first, the image or the stories? They are obviously tailored for each other. I think perhaps you may be a descendant of the dreamweavers, by way of a wordsmith marriage.

A dream is an intangible, a figment of the mind. The mind has been proven to be a power house for life. Why should the figment not be real? Very beautiful and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, another figment?
