Description

This is a gathering of people from the isolated Tallamudi village in the Andhra Pradesh district of India. It is a small village with no permanent buildings. People live under plastic tarpaulins and wrapping. They are in need of simple concrete homes and can be contacted via Peniel Church, Gannavaram... The price of these homes are ridiculously low. I asked what kind of work the people were involved in. I was told that 'they all work together as a tribe'... 'doing what?', I asked. 'They are hunters,'.... 'What kind of thing do they hunt?'... 'Rabbits'.... They attend a roadside church fortnightly and gradually their needs are being met but other more financed members of the body of Christ... They loved the chance to be in a photograph... they made my guts rumble with compassion and a sense of guilt... they have great courage.

Thought provoking image and commentary. One wonders how much their government spent on nuclear armament...

The wide variety of expressions here makes this image. Your commentary -- very thought provoking.
