Description
This picture is of a power line stretching across the open field, recently ploughed and ready for sowing - the pole is centered in the camera and the cut out on each side is about half way between the target pole and the ones either side of it. Taken the same day as the previous image but I turned about 60% to the right. I was struck by the simplicity of the single power pole in what looks like a huge field.

That is the beauty of photography...we start to see things in new and fresh ways. :)

I know what you mean, I must have seen that pole thousands of times, but it was only after I bought the new camera (first high quality camera I've owned in almost 30 years) and was trying it out, that I noticed what a interest sight that was. I've lived at this place for 3 years before I thought to take a picture. But that scene sort of got at me; the top of the fence in the very bottom of the picture, the open field, in the foreground, the ridge line about 40 kilomtres away, the cloud and sky, and the pole in the centre - looking as if it's the only thing for the 40 kms. The sky around here gets some interesting cloud formations, I'll probably post some as I get more and more of the images cut back for posting.
