an hour isn't that bad i think...actually i don't think i ever had an hour renders with vue, they go from 6 to 18 hours normally for me. i love the scene you created here...it's these types of scenes that makes me miss vue very much. well done!

I like the picture, especially the birch(?) tree, but I have some remarks. I may well be fooled by perspective, but compared to the trees in the foreground and to the castle the trees in between look rather small. Judging from the title I would say that the castle is oversized: not counting the towers it is four floors high, so a great part of it would be hidden by the trees. Well, you could present it as a mirage or vision. :-) Another matter concerning castles (that I also saw in your "Lost land") is something like "form follows function". They could be (or have originated as) fortified houses or army posts controlling connections (and in them the people). Your castle appears intended to guard a road against invaders from the foreground, but the road from the bridge to the lady is missing. Well, it could have lost its function, or it needn't exist in the mirage or vision versions. Just wondering: the foregrounds appeals more to me than the background (greener, cat), so why would one feel a "long way from home"? It is your art, I'm just trying to be helpful! :-)

Nicely done! It reminds me of the song The Road Goes Ever On, which Bilbo Baggins sang after he gave the One Ring to Frodo and he leaves the Shire.

The lighting looks good. You are doing great stuff with Vue.
