G'day,
and thank you for the chance to introduce myself......
okay, that sounds waaaay too stuffy.... how about this then...... I was raised on Canadian Army Bases which limited the type of grand exposure that my peers would have enjoyed... (In High School, every one of my City Friends would spend Monday mornings talking about Saturday Night Live.... I had no idea what an Ackroyd or a Belushi was....). but you learn.......
I am mostly self taught as no respectable art school would have anything to do with me.
I make movies, live and animated, am one half of a Jazz Duo (called Three Men With Mono.... I play with another animator, the astounding Richard Reeves... and yeah we know, a duo is less than 3 men... but hey....Grand Funk Railroad isn't a Railroad, Iron Butterfly isn't an insect.... and Pink Floyd is well...)
I work in digital photography, Poser (which rules), Bryce, Deluxe Paint 4 (yes I still have working Amiga's), and anything that functions for me...and I'm developing a new animation technique for using with inexpensive digital cameras.
I am currently living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with 2 robot dogs and my dreams....
and unless you've made other plans, have a great day!

Yeah build your mansion in the old swamp, then wonder why in a couple of years it cracks up is worthless or the dog box in the sky...whew, my big city days are over and I have a semi-rural 2.5 acre property and NO NEIGHBOURS ! I might live a tin shed, but it sure beats the hell out of city dwelling ! Great POV and the B&W gives it a real grungy feel ! Interesting comment and capture Collin ~Cheers~ :o)

LOL, same here. A house in Perth that was 90k 3 years ago is now 400k. Perth was one of the cheapest capital cities of Oz. Now its the most expensive. One generation of humans is parasiting of the next one to pay for its retirement. Humans...love em or hate em.......wheres my chainsaw....( I kid). Great photo.

I wanted to tell you about your comment you left on jangled 'G.O.P. Lite' today when I also thought of commenting on the photograph only to be pleasantly surprised by your commentary. Here we are in our late fifties and just managed to squeeze into the houseing market eleven years ago by a stroke of luck. I cannot begin to understand how our children willbe able toafford a house of their own. I think it is a dream beyond reach. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Great capture and pov! I recently moved back to Seattle after a 6 year absence in Missouri and Colorado, and forgot everything here is triple MO, and Double CO :) But, I love it here. What upsets me the most is tearing down a classic 1910 brick house, and erecting a 20 unit condo/glorified apt at $450k+ per unit that no longer matches the neighborhood.
