Description
I found this little plant on the side of the dirt road I live on. It was growing up just beside a tire track in the mud. I thought to myself "this has a beautiful flower" so I took a few shots of it. When I uploaded it into the computer and saw the flower closer, it really is beautiful. So I decided to "rescue" the plant and pot it on my porch.
My neighbor gave me a pot and some soil, but couldn't identify the plant for me. We looked in four books about wild plants and flowers in Alaska, and didn't find this one.

I can't help with identification but I think its gorgeous. It appears to have characteristics of a tiny orchid or a mini iris. A love find and a wonderful shot.

I would like to say that a weed needs to be well displaced in a orderly manner. I for once would love if WeedNews.co could give any coverage of such important info. I am sick of hearing the unimportant stuff.
