Oil painting 1050x750mm
"Though I dwell" is based on psalm 23. In this very enclosed space surrounded by huge boulders a shaft of life has enabled a tree to grow. This is a metaphor of our humanity. We can dwell in shadows but unless there is light and hope, our chance of survival is limited.

Hi good to see you painting these great subjects, I wander around in these places too even our back yard looks like this. I don't know if it's global warming but we are getting stag horns and birds nest ferns growing here over the past 10 years and surviving, good to hear from you I don't get on here much now I'm more over at DA it's better for painters.
