Description
Father Mearin lived a peaceful life in a peaceful community. He enjoyed his parish and the life he chose. As time went on, the community changed. Bad elements began to filter in, people went missing. Good people moved away, leaving vacancies for the bad. Father Mearin, determined to be the light in the darkness, vowed to stay and help those who wanted it.
One night, he heard weeping within the church. Going down to investigate, he found what appeared to be a young girl kneeling before the altar and crying. As he approached, he noticed with a shock, that it appeared she'd been bleeding. As he knelt down to give her assistance, she looked up from her "prayers" and that's when he noticed she wasn't bleeding, she was crying blood.
Before he could even make a move, she was on him, her teeth at his throat. Before he passed out from bloodloss, he almost thought he heard giggling.
When he next opened his eyes, he knew something had changed. He felt...different. Not only physically, but mentally it was like something snapped. Or to be more accurate, he felt freed.
He continues with his sermons and his masses. Only now they happen after dark. Usually after he feeds, but not always. Sometimes, he likes to sample from the flock. You see, that night, he had become Malkavian and from then on, has been known as Father Redeemus.
God help us all.
I was driving into work the other day, thinking about my days when I played Vampire: The Masquerade and this image and story popped into my head. It's not exactly as I saw it, but I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think and if you've made it this far, thanks for reading.

Excellent. I would seriously make this a favorite, but you gave me the chills with the story and the image... and my last post/render was a vampire! This is truly great!!! 5+ I kind of expect a lightning bold to come ripping thru the stained glass!

It's a good thing I don't go to church. I can tell you he won't be redeeming me! Great POV. I like his skin tone and the look of fierce craziness on his eyes. Fantastic story to go with the image.

AH!! What can a Mother say when she is proud of what her boy has done!!! Excellent job, story is great and leaving me to want for more, and the render is just something that would be in your head and want to put on paper, next time not while your driving!!! Need more of this now ,so get busy. Great style and fantastic lokk of sinistrism on his face and quite the Travis looking madness that you and I know he has. LOL.... 5+++++ :)

Love the story, and BTW...it's never too early for a little Halloween ;-) The POV makes this one work. The stained glass is a perfect contrast against the otherwise macabre textures and colors (or lack of). A FAV!
