Description

One of the trails at Larrabee State Park in Washington State, just off Chuckanut drive. This trail takes you down to the beach at Samish Bay. It's hard for me to remember that what looks normal to me might look exotic or wonderful or different to people in other parts of the world! Sometimes I forget to take photographs of things I consider to be mundane. This is a shot I almost didn't take! I had a nice little hike down to the beach, but the terrain is totally familiar. I stopped on the trail for a minute to look out at the water (it's off to my left in this picture). When I looked back, I SAW the path in a different way, and thought, "Oh! Hendesse would like this!" So I remembered to take a few pictures while I was walking through the woods. (Just one more example of how you all inspire me. Thanks, Klaus!)
