Description

I have had a hard time getting lots of models into Vue 6 inf because of low resources. I built a new computer Quad Dual Core E6600 with 8 gig of ram using XP Pro 64 bit. This was the only way I could get this scene finished. All depending on the models one uses as to how much of a power house computer one must have. No other application needs this much cpu power and memory to make the same image. Models are all made by gaetan which I like very much. He is very good at modeling things I like to use in scenes. Vegetation is all Vue. :)

Good setup. Nice placement, good lighting, and it's quaint. It has a pretty good sense of depth. The two characters could have been a little more realistic for realism's sake, but this is cool.

Dojo Denoho! The Gig controversy. I once had it explained to me, by the development team, that 385Mb of memory was going to be way too much on an Apple. This was in the year 2000. Now it is 64 bit and the silly notion is memories over 2Gb. I have only to realize that when some says a piece of software is tested, they don't mean for box canyons and insecure links they mean for market and play value in real world situations with consumer groups. Actually, you could have done this with blue screens and layers with 512mb. I have it on good authority. (I much prefer this way. Press on!! Fight the good fight!! We shall overcome!!)

This scene when using XP PRo 32 bit on same computer would crash with low resources 7% because of only 2 gig of memory. Using same scene on XP Pro 64 bit on same computer I was able to finish the scene and not crash and resources never fell below 80%. Can anyone explain with out using work arounds why it takes so much memory for some scenes using models that will work in Vue 5 Inf and not crash. :)
