Description
OK, you all know by now that I have no flowers in my yard. But I wanted to practice shooting them in the sunlight as opposed to my previous upload which was shot in the house with a black backdrop, etc.
So......... I decided to borrow a page from auntietk's book and sneak into somebody else's yard. As I was roaming around the property it occurred to me that a neighbor might think it suspicious to see an aging hippie with a camera wandering about. Hmmm ... Wonder what a cop's reaction would be when I blurted, "But officer, Tara does this all the time and she never gets into trouble!" ;o)
Anyway, I found a suitable subject and let fly with the shutter. It's not on a par with, say, Tara or PJ, but it turned out better than I expected. Hope you enjoy!
(And no, I have no idea what kind of flower it is ... You don't knock on doors to ask questions when you're sneaking around... Right, Tara?)

You've done a fine job with this carnation. You chose a very nice one to shoot. I think the difference here is Tara and I, well...Tara at least, gets permission to travel other people's yards for flower shots. I don't normally ask first because I don't know any of my neighbors to speak to (except when they are yelling from the front or back door to "Get Outta My Yard, You Freak!" Now most of my neighborly wanderings are done as the sun comes up or after dark with a flashlight in hand... :-)

I enjoyed both your funny narrative and this grerat carnation........looks like a water colour painting.........but since you weren't sure it was a carnation, I guess there's no point wondering if you know the varietal....lol Happy sneaking!
