Hi Guys! Thought I would drop in and see how every one is doing and post a pic of one of the most interesting sites in the Mammoth area. This is the Devils post pile. These are lava columns, looks pretty trippy ha?! Hope every one is having a great summer, I think we might be getting some rain soon, cross your fingers because we really need it! I want to thank every one who viewed and commented on my last post, it is greatly appreciated! 8-)

Ooooooo columnar basalt!!!!!! I love this!! I've always wanted a couple for my garden, they're very cool!!! If you find one that's been broken off and has a dip in the top you can use it as a bird bath!! Anyway very nice shot!!!!

that is an awesome formation Janice.never seen anything like it.seems like the US is getting so much rain in certain parts and others are bone dry.we had the floods last June and May.Europe seems to be in the same weather pattern
