Description

I just got back spending a weekend photo-shoot with professional photographer, Efrain Padro (www.padroimages.com). I got this opportunity through our local community college, here in Santa Fe. We did 3 shoots at White Sands, NM. I'm not going into any history of White Sands, other than to say that it was an amazing, beautiful place. As most good landscape photographers, we shot early in the morning and just before sunset in the evening. I learned a lot about my camera, as well as lighting and composition. I will be sharing some of my best shots with you fine folks this week. Any positive comments or critiques are always wwelcome. The only PS work I did was tweeking the levels and exposure.

Nice opportunity grabbed... And the results are great. Not a fan of the border (a bit to complicated for my tastes where black or white normally brings the photo out more than "complementary colours"...imo of course).

Fabulous! The way the light highlights the ripples in the sand and the clean break on the edge of the dunes is perfect. And the sky in the background adds the perfect touch. Wonderful composition. Please give us more of the Southwest, I love it!

It is wonderful what the time of day can do for a shot. This is beautiful and really shows of the shadows that define the different textures. The colors work beautifully.
