Description
In remembrance of PFC Michael J. Gunn of 75th Ranger Battalion (1972 to 2007). He was a good friend that always kept our humanity in check. He always concluded his correspondence to me with "Remember where you come from and what you still owe to God". He never explained what that meant, but I'd like to think that he meant we should never forget where we were and the things we saw or did. When we last spoke, he reminded me of an Irari tank we came across after an air strike. This render is based on his description. Although you cannot see the emotion on the character's face, try to imagine the sound of the men in the tank.

Ooh Hon, it is a powerful image. Perfectly created in every aspect. Your dedication to your friend is so moving and so real. I am sure that is why your image is so very realistic. There IS plenty of emotion that one feels viewing it. You've done a positively excellent work. I am making it a favorite of mine. You should be quite proud.

This is an excellent tribute to your good friend. I can see and undertand what he meant by his saying. Truely inspirational words, no matter what or how you interpret them. I really love the blending of the image and the way the soldiers details look. Excellent work.

Hoorah Sarge! I hope your A.O. is not where I think it is. Stay safe! Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments as usual. Your credit enforces my lack of confidence for this hobby of mine. Michael was a bit on the bible thumper side which surprised me when he went career. Last time we met was in Greenville outside of Dallas in 96 when he laid this memory on me. For years I carried the image in my head and this is the first time I had a chance to share it. Thanks again everyone.

No, I can't see the emotion on his face, but I can FEEL it from his pose. This is amazing, and leaves me nearly in tears. (a rare rating from me 5+)

Very beautiful image... my respects to your friend and to all USA soldiers. I lost my friend in Iraq last year (he was a 34 years old captain of Italian Army and he was killed in his jeep's explosion near Nassirya) so I can understand very well you... 5+++++ and favourite!

Great render. Reminds me of a burned-out T-55 I saw back in '91 vicinity As Salman. To absent friends, they shall live forever in our hearts.
