Description
Not officially a goddess, though #4 in my "goddess" series, this is a portrait of the brilliant warrior queen, Boudicca. Boudicca led the Iceni (Celts in Britain around the area of modern day Norfolk) in a daring revolt against the Romans in A.D. 60-61. Before her defeat, her army was able to overthrow the Roman 9th legion, defeat London and seize the then Roman capitol at what is now Colchester. It is said that this strong woman poisoned herself to avoid capture - a fighter unto death.

I think you have captured her spirit--I like the look of transparent layers, too--like an oil painting on layers of chiffon!
