Description

Austrian Friedensreich Hundertwasser not only was a remarkable painter, graphic artist, architect and designer of special gardens, to mention a few of his artistic activities, he was also a philosopher. One of his statements was: "Ich will zeigen, wie einfach es im Grunde ist, das Paradies auf Erden zu haben". This means more or less: "I'll show you how simple it is to have a paradise on earth". Isn't that beautiful, when we look around and see the mess everywhere? He showed us that paradise by his behaviour and his art. As far as I know, he didn't work with fractals. When he died, in 2000, fractal art was just in its infancy. If he should have worked in this field, I'm convinced the results should have been original and grandiose. My image here is only a faint reflection of his innovative and colourful graphic and painting work. Nevertheless Hundertwasser deserves our attention, for me he always is a source of inspiration. Thanks for your enthousiasm for my collapsing soap bubbles of yesterday.
