Description

Good day all. Another 6AM shot. The big boat in the middle is the red eye ferry making its way to Orcas. It's coming from Lopaz Island will make a stop at Shaw, which is right across from Orcas. The ferry landing is on the other side of the Island then where this picture was taken. I'm thinking I need to get up early more often:) It's not easy you know...lol..Thanks for hanging out awhile. Either looking at the thumbnail or at full size, I feel we have a very good image that I think could have been made better by placing the horizon line higher. I would take the sea gull horizon line and place it where the actual horizon line is now, this way we also show more of the darker front area of the water. Another option would be to crop from the bottom up, thereby adjust the horizon line and making the image more like a wide screen movie, this would be the preferred way to go since there is too much information in the photograph. This I think is well worth considering as the image has excellent merits otherwise. Thank you for sharing. egmont
