Description

This is my second and long overdue attempt at the Jedi Twi'lek. Leaps and bounds ahead of my initial attempt. And yes, I'm now aware that they don't have ears. >_>

I like the motion blur and graininess of the image giving the sense of movement to your comp. The twi'lek looks great too in this pose.

yeah, the ears are a tough one for that particular prop, but it is possible to take them away, nice image though

Excellent render. Great character to work with. I really like this image also. It's very dynamic. Some things: There are free no ear morphs for V3 out there. I use that prop a lot, as I am N'Varra Wren :)If you have resized it for V4, try using a transmap on her ears. That's what I do when needed. Should her facial expression be more dynamic? She seems very expressionless. You might've been going for peaceful, but I don't think it's quite there. Also, I have a free headwrap prop for V3 that is actually more akin to Aayla Secura, instead of the typical lekku wrap. I say free because it was made by Jarok, but is no longer hosted anywhere. I just happen to have a copy on my hard drive if you want it. PS. There is large debate over whether Twi'leks have ears or not. The Star Wars RPG says they do. Many artistic renderings without headgear say they do. Sadly never in Star Wars proper are they seen with ears, so the topic remains open. From my research, Ryloth (the home planet of twi'leks) is a patriarchal society. Females are subservient, partially why they are such good slaves. When they are born, their talons and teeth are filed down to be more pleasing, and they are taught from a young age about the concept of shame. Similar to many middle eastern cultures here. So the head covering and the ear covering is an act of shame and submission. Did you also know that twi'leks don't have eyebrows? As part of the slave trade, females will either paint them or have them surgically implanted in order to seem more "human", as most of their clientele in the galaxy are human. Anyway, I am rambling. Nice image.

I agree with the above. The motion blur works very well. Twilek Jedi are cool.

I gotta say, this is one of, if not the bedt 3d version of Aayla Secura I've seen. Excellent attention to detail, even if there's always room for improvement as per Warangel above.
