Description

That's come good... with this another one finished, it remain me only 2 pavilions to do before the end of the first part of the project... ...it's always harder when the end is near. But after some resting times, the motivation is full, fortunetely ! Here's now the Romanian Pavilion, the architect was french, M. Formigé, specially knowed for he's great realizations (2 big pavilions in the Champ-de-Mars) for the previous Paris World's Fair in 1889. For this one, the inspiration is clear, truly Romanian with much parts inspired by many different monuments or churches in Romania. No many references documents for this building, I hope to be near of the real one. For information, I had several new good contacts with museums... maybe 2008 will be a good year for the Expo 1900... and of course, for me. Just cross my fingers. Even if this one is not my prefered one, I hope you appreciate it anyway. Always thanks much for your interest to follow this project. As you can imagine, my spare time is too short, and so, I'm sad to doesn't have enough time to follow all the interesting things here on renderosity, or post some comments when I appreciate a picture. All my best regards for you all ;-)

Very nice I like the small twisting turrets on it. This is a great project, and I am glad I am following it.

If it wasn't for the Austro-Hungarian empire of the day, you'd have a lot more pavilions to do..;) These are all fantastic...keep 'em coming.

Love your work on this project. For this particular render, the way that you've "distressed" the image to look an old postcard is a little distracting, particularly at the bottom. I'm assuming that you're simulating bleaching/fading . . . but the figures on the bottom border are blurred-- which doesn't happen with fading, so it "reads" wrong, to my eye. The paleness of the sky on the other hand, reads exactly right, as though it were a black and white photo which had been hand tinted.
