Description
Bryce Rendering of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and it's corresponding Digital Raster Graphic(DRG) overlay of Mount Moran of the Grand Tetons looking over Jackson Lake. I like this sort of thing, but it needs some volumetric clouds and another procedural texture layer to give it some texture. Some of that may have to wait until I get my new computer in a month or two

Nice work ! I especially like the grid line raster overlay. Bet this would look great done with Terragen. Hey, give it a try sometime.

Another creative imagery. Excellent work. Can't wait to see what you do when you get your new computer.

I have some old topographic maps here from the Coast and Geodetic Service. Some are beginning to deteriorate from acid. They are for National Parks. I looked once at just this sort of thing done by hand. I assume these are from a government data base. I was more interested in the aeronautic uses than the aesthetic at the time. Defense Mapping Agency was redoing the entire Aeronautical Chart series. I also have "Mars the Movie" by the Planetary Society which used digital imagery long before Google. That was aesthetic. Now, Jackson Hole more fits with Miranda Lambert's "Everyone Dies Famous In a Small Town" with it's references to hunting and Jackson Hole. This is a lot to comment on so my summary is a bit loose.
