That's the other part about getting older I hate.. too darn many funerals. I had never been to a funeral until I was in my late 20's. And now, I've lost count. Ya know, if we spent as much money on a fountain of youth treatment as we do on war, we would all be 20ish nearly forever. The old would regain their youth. What would you do with your life if you were 20 again and would be so for as long as you wished? It would take less than 5 years to reach that goal with the money we put into making war. Anyway, my condolences Evie. Wonderful image and we all need a place like this sometimes. Hugs from Dave :^)

Wonderful rendering. I especially like how the water came out, very fluid and tranquil.

My father was also a fisherman as was my paternal grandfather. They were purists and would only fish for native trout in a particular local stream near Alpena. Other fish were called "snakes" (pike) or "cardboard trout" (hatchery raised ranbow trout). Sorry, Dad get Saint Peter to tie you some dry flies and get that rod tip to flicking to raise one to the surface.

you are right, evie, it is the little things that need to be appreciated. we also just went to a funeral of a dear friend's young son and it is so sad to lose anyone...much less when they are so young!
