Description

Ok... I'm still snapping in RAW format. But yes, I kinda cheat and let S7RAW process it all for me... I just do a batch convert and hey ho, jpeg arrives! However, took some snaps yesterday, and decided to look at the different bits on the program with one of the pics. And, I found a 'selective colour'... It was on red, which is handy cos that was the colour of the rose... And I kinda played with the sliders and got loads of weird and wonderful colours. Easily. No faffing about with selections etc in psp, bang... It knew where the red was and it's like magic. The first pic (the red rose) is original, with no messing with sliders etc... The following three, are the same pic, but different colours. Although you can see that for yourselves. And yes, now I'm rambling! Thank you for all your views and comments. Tracey Oh, did I mention full size was worth a looksie? Kinda get the textures of the wall as well then...

Thanks for showing what can be done with RAW. I haven't tried this, yet ... looking forward to it, though. Nice work, Tracey.

Who's a clever bunny then? I have never tried raw either but I must say I'm impressed with you're work here Tracey. The first unworked rose so to say is beautiful, love the pov and the rough texture of the wall compliments the velvet rose. The other three, worked versions are quite exceptional in their own way. It certainly looks like you put time and effort into them all and it's paid off. Beautiful photograph & excellent postwork. Bravo!!!!!

Okay. Number One: Your original photo of that red rose ROCKS!!! The definition and color is perfect. No bleeding, no weird highlights. Number Two: That original photo is stunning! (I know I said that already, but it really deserves to be said again. Awesome work!) Number Three: Have I told you lately how much I admire your bravery in learning all these new camera things? Number Four: I love this whole thing. Looking at all the different colors, each so perfect, has me going back and forth and all around, looking and looking and looking! Excellent presentation. Number Five: That original photo just kicks butt! Red is SUCH a tough capture! I am totally impressed. (I know, I know . . . but it really is amazing work!)
