Description

After many voyages and almost being broken up this ship has been on display in the city where she was built 107 years ago.Until November the ship will be kept in dry dock to allow her hull to dry and repairs carried out, amazingly she will then return to being afloat next to a purpose built exhibition.You can read her history in detail here.. http://www.theheritagetrail.co.uk/maritime/rrs%20discovery.htm

What a magnificent old ship. I'd love to climb aboard and explore a while. And think of the adventures stored in her beams and riggings. You got to photograph this beauty from a POV that most will never have. Thanks for letting us share that view.
