I am always amused to hear that California is thought of as sandy beaches and bikini babes... That only applies to some areas but its so much more. This is a great shot. I don't know what part of the coast this is but the view from Hwy.1 is great from top to bottom. One great way to see the coast is to catch Amtrak on the scenic coastal train. Love this and you managed to find a place and time when the waves weren't 20 feet and more tall! :-)

An excellent shot, but I think the horizon should be straightened (or did i drink too much...;-)...)

I am trying to figure out if it is just north of SF and around Bodega Bay or south past Santa Cruz, as I do not recognize the tip to the rock formation. I am pleased to see the photograph so large and very well presented. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Awesome shot with xlt composition. Two minor critiques that can easily be fixed; First, there is a slight tilt to the horizon (rises up to the right) Second, there are some sensor dust spots visible on the left edge just above the rocks..also some in the center above the rocks. All in all, still an xlt image! Congrats on being in the Last Week In the Gallery!
