People ask me why I find Politics distasteful & boring. Besides incidents like the Idaho U.S. Senator airport bathroom scandal; Cronyism in the White House; along with "Earmark" boondoggling at taxpayer's expense?
I guess it comes down to priorities, the following item forwarded to me is a case in point, inspired the above design, and raises some "cultural" issues as well:
Black Hurricanes
It appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African -American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal. She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in Language that street people can understand because one of the problems in New Orleans is that regular folks couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation due to the racially biased language of the weather report. I can hear it now: A weatherman in Houston says...
"Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo a*s like Leroy on a crotch rocket! Bitch be a category fo'! So grab yo' chirren, yo' Ho, be leavin yo crib, and head fo' da nearest guv'ment office fo yo FREE shite!"
Thanks Dan.

LOL, could you be a little more explicit?

At the risk of throwing oil on the fire Turner, does anyone find the comment that names sound Caucasian, or the implication that black Americans are incapable of understanding a weather report, racist? Very cool image Stephen.
sazzart
@Turner; Big LOL!! Wasn't lecturing, merely stating facts. I've said before; I wasn't raised to be racist. Nor am I one. I do go by what other people show me, if you get my drift. I mean, since you DID say "IF the second..." & you ipso facto noted the " "'s, then why even bring up a racist issue, since it's the African-Americans themselves with the literacy issue? Or did you miss the "cultural" issues part I mentioned? Thanks.~Sazzart~

@Thelby - Zulu Dawn? For fuck's sake. Where is my dedicated pic gone? :( Did somebody say something you didn't like? Who actually did say that quoted message?

Masking racism, inflammatory comments behind devoid intellectualism...but you're just poking at our brains,right?...there are plenty of web-sites for this...why here?....Ya!....and guess what else!{show middle finger here} Semper F.U.,and you too Admiral!
brigadier
Sazz, I like the pic. Could I get a file of the full disc for a background? @YARDOBE - Seeing as I am the only person currently posting comments to Sazz's art with an avatar showing a picture of me in my full dress uniform displaying my honorably attained rank of Chief Petty Officer (NOT Admiral), I will assume you directed some of the last part of your comment at me. I do not appreciate the "middle finger" text reference nor the F.U. If you do in fact happen to be an American, I have probably spent more time in the U.S. Navy defending your right to be stupid than you have spent living. If you choose to continue to attack me in your attempts to insult other people like Sazz, I will persue the issue with the staff of Renderosity. L. Jackson, CPO, USN(Ret)
