Description

I took some shots in the pool hall. I just use the lighting they had in there and postwork in photoshop. I know some do not like postwork but if they read how A. Adam did his wonderful photos they would have to think of postwork then. He did a lot of dark room magic and he was very good at it. His book "The Print" tells you how he did his photos. I saw how you can do the same in photoshot and it blow me away. Lol off the subject again. Why do I chase after rabbits. She came with us as the bride friend daughter. She was shooting pool so I took shots of her and many other in the place. I will post some of the better ones. She hopes to be a photo person for the National Geograthes Magizine. The band was still playing too. They was good I thought but then I tone deaf. I know they was better that the band we heard at another bar. We left that one. That first band was playing head bannging music. I hate it too. Give me jazz and classic and Christian music. Country I can stand too not my favorites. Here I go after another rabbit lol. maybe I be a good rabbit hunter lol This lady was ok for a pool player. I did play a few games with my youngest son; The first time in over 20 years. Never was a good player. I tell of some of the things that happen to me playing pool later. thanks for looking and comments sorry I get people mix up on my stories. I know I jump around a lot but that how I am. I tell my boss what going on on the phone and he have to call another worker just to find out what going on. He do not understand a word I say. Lol Even the drive though at fast food get my orders mix up and all wrong. Guess I not that good on saying things. Hope I a better artist.

Maybe people don't listen so good since I got what you are saying. Always seem to. :-) You just got the "southern way" of getting to the point - from the left, right or back side but never from the front. LOL Cool bar shot. It feels good. The last game of pool I shot was in a bar when I first met my sister - I was in my mid 30s then. I had just finished a pitcher of beer and managed to win 2 games out of 3. After that, we both had to go home and take a nap. LOL

I like the way MrsLubner put it -- "You just got the "southern way" of getting to the point". And ya' know, it's entertaining reading your stories, so you and those southerners are on to somethin'! :) I guess I'm the one chasing rabbits now, so about your photo: it's not easy to take photos in dark areas. But I can see the lovely smile on the girl's face, so you're doing okay! :)

It is a wonderful atomspheric shot with top mood, Jock. I like it! Last time I played pool was with my Dad. I knocked the white ball of the table!! He had to crawl on the floor looking for it!!! He laughed at me, we has a good time!! I like your jumping around thinking!! I can understand you perfectly. Your boss has a problem. Wink!! A really super shot :-) Hugs. Di. Don't ya just love MrsLubners new avatar?? I am smiling so big looking at it :-)

A really nice capture of an American pastime- I don't think it's a sin to adjust a few levels or color saturation. Nice work.

hahahaha!! People have to LISTEN and they don't these days. I understand everything you write, but I think that's because my thinking is all convoluted, and so what say is often that way too. That makes it easy for me to understand every dang thing you write! Love this picture, I thought you were going to say she was a real good pool player, LOL, and I was gonna say of course, the guys are all looking at her and not at the table .. and then I read your notes .. so she's not that great, but I bet the guys were all looking at her anyway!

I don't like collisons. No matter how much agility is required I avoid it like a hedgehog on a pool table. Perhaps you remember too when the Air Force painted all the tails and wing tips of it's airplanes fluorescent orange to avoid collisons. That was before they were painted camouflage for the Viet Nam War.

A moment in a life, is always a precious thing for the photography. On a photo, you have, the present, which become the past and which was before tou make this shot...the future ! All is relative !!! Great shot !!!

You are riot Jock, chasing rabbits...what a funny saying, but I get what you mean, I also think you are a fine artist and I wouldn't care if you couldn't talk at all...we understand you ! Lots of distractions in the pool hall and nice brides maid shot, well done ! ~Cheers~ :o)
