To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

Yep, this does look like aged marquetry...Mina, a lovely dedi, and a beautifully done image (per usual!)..The use of the luna moth is outstanding, dear one. I particularly love the sense of striving, reaching, in this one...rising toward the light..and the autumnal leaves falling away...all of past, present, and future are here. But, to me at least, the aged effect, with the slight scratches, absolutely speak. Life-wear. Another masterful creation. Please never stop amazing me with each of your gorgeous works! My little eyes are always greedy for what may come next...lol...B*B and huggles...:)
