Description

USS Shenandoah ZR-1 approaches the airship tender USS Patoka AO-9 in 1924. The tender carried tanks of helium to refill and “refuel” Navy airships, the 125 ft. mooring mast had a dynamic socket at the top to receive the bow line from the airship. The tender program was suspended in 1933 after the loss of ZRS-4 Akron. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38.39) Credits: USS Shenandoah = airship from 3d Commune + moon mobile by Mike Torben + submarine at DAZ USS Patoka = tramp steamer at DAZ + guard tower by Richard T in free stuff O2U = SBD at gunpoint 3d

Good work. A little before WWII, I see. Good to see that you're expanding your work. I'd love to know where yu get the ideas for this stuff.
