Description

OK, Back to something more typical from me. This little lady flew into our backyard yesterday and proceeded to feed on the tree 10 ft from where we were sitting. The lighting was difficult as the sun was behind the tree but she stayed long enough and I moved around and used the flash for some shots and managed to get a few good pictures. A quick trip to the internet told me that this is a Downy Woodpecker and although common in North America, it's the first one I've seen up close.
