I know what it is you wish, to go through and shut this down from the other side. But before you do, you must know what it is you will face. For the Dark Lands of Damia are unlike any test or trial the Silver Gryphon Legacy has ever faced. Do you think Maerymydra prepared you for this? Humph.
Damia was created in the borderlands between Rhadjistan and Ravidistan, when Shang opened up the Cauldron of Doom, an ancient Krell artifact which gave him necromantic summoning powers like no other before or since. The Cauldron was left open for an entire day, draining the life from the land, killing everything, his enemies and his allies alike, and turning this once green and fertile valley into a blasted wasteland fit only for mausoleums and graveyards. Ashen dust blows there still, the disintegrated bodies of those who fell before his mighty powers. It was into the Dark Lands that the Heroes of Arrallon dared to tread at the end of the Second Orc Wars, as they went to hunt down and destroy Shang once and for all. It was there that Taulloverre the White Wizard saved them as his fortress collapsed and then exploded, laying waste to his undead legions. It was there that the mighty Mordekai was slain, and General Kodan was drug into the Shadow Realm by the Shade Warlord Shadowjack. And it is there that Shang's apprentice and second in command, Cyrus al'Kassam, summoned back the undead legions and rebuilt the Fortress of Thirteen Spires. And now Damia, long the enemy of all life on Arrallon, may be its only hope in survival, for the Shadows move against Lord Cyrus and his undead hordes. Rumor has it, the Cauldron of Doom has already been destroyed.
Will you be able to chose, as others have been forced to do over the centuries, a lesser evil to aid in the fight against the greater? Or will you simply close the Dead Gate and leave the master of Damia to his doom?
