Description

Please View Full Screen. This was taken at Summit Lake along the Mount Evans Highway. This lake is at about 11,000 feet. The summers are very short and the winters are very harsh.

Very pretty. There are a lot of these glacial "cirques"(which is what I assume this geology is) -- I just hiked the exquisite Cuththroat Pass and Lake (North Cascades), which is very similar, but at a much lower altitude. . . and yes Spring and Fall are side by side in the alpine regions

This image is a wonder. The frame, the composition, the light (ideal for this surroundings), all magnificent. He is already sublime to be in so beautiful places, but to take it to house… An exquisite work.

Love the POV, sky and reflection in the pool. This is just breathtaking! Seems to me I've been there once but I don't remember it being soooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing this.
