Description
Wanted to see how close to "real" I could come. Lot of post work in Photoshop - especially around the eyes, nostrils and mouth. Selective sharpening around cheeks, lips and eyebrows. Looking for a way to get more texture in skin (if anyone has any tips please let me know).
Thanks to everyone who has commented on my work - you inspire me to go further.

You've truely created a wonderful piece of art! As you're asking for comments regarding the realism, that's what I'm commenting on. The eyebrows are too blurred, it would help if they would stand out a little bit more, perhaps with more bumps (or displacementmaps?). Same for her lips (they have a really beautiful texture!). A heavier bumpmap could solve the problem, imo. That are just my two cents :o) Keep it up - I'd love to see more! Take care, ~Sassy~

it always great to see everyone of us here trying to push realism to its next higher level...great render... REALISM = LOTSA OF PATIENCE...so could start with rendering at the highest possible level without the hard-disk crashing or hanged :) (it happens to me numerous times) face a bit grainy unless this is the effect that u want it to be...:) keep posting...mate :) p.s yr depth of field technique is superb :)

Fabulous work mate. I use always OcclusionMaster for my renders. Gives your more reality. I also like to use RealSkinShader. Just search for face_off or go here ---> face_off
