Description
It's been a while since i uploaded some Artwork. Believe me i have been very busy in my spare time working on a short film i am making.
This image is from the film. It's a screen grab of a composited shot. The camera pans round to the insect and moves in closer slowly. It is 5 seconds long. Everything was rendered in Poser 6 and composited in After effects 5. To achieve the shot several passes were rendered with the same camera movement with different objects at various distances from the camera. Lense effects and blurring were done in post production. the tree trunk is a simple cylinder with bump and displacement maps applied as i wanted to keep the scene file size low due to memory constraints.
I feel the shot was pretty successful as it was my first go at animating the insect and camera in poser aswell as composting in Afx....I have also learnt a few tricks with getting close-ups of models without degrading texture maps!
There is more to come as i am working on the opening of my film and now have over 3 minutes of uncut footage.
The film is set about 200 million years ago. There is also a wealth of pre-viz work i created about 3 years ago and have been holding back on posting them up.
Thanks for viewing.....
