Description
Captured 9/05 at the beautiful South Coast Botanic Garden located in the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in Southern California.
Apparently, there are 1.5 dahlias on display here. The one on the left was either decapitated or wanted to look like a bald gangbanger.
If my sources are correct, this variety is the Candy Cane miniature waterlily...although I don't see a connection to waterlilies here.
In any event, I really like the vivid reds and whites depicted in this image.
Thanks for dropping by, and have a good one.

Very beautiful flowers. Sorry haven't been around. Still having trouble with brachial neuritis and trigeminal neurolgia. See neurologist for test results next Tuesday and surgeon after that. Keep fingers crossed for me. But thanks for missing me. Is cute:)Ribbet

Beautiful! The POV is very cool. No visible stems, and they appear to be floating. Congratulations on an excellent capture!

Great photo! Wonderful colours!

I like the bold colors here. Red and white work so well in the garden. Your pov is an honest one. You didn't try to mask the defective bloom but showed it off as something beautiful. Great job.

Dahlia's always remind me of my grandad. Although he used to frighten me to death, he did grow the most amazing dahlias. I put it down to the horse manure he used to collect off the road!!!!! Or I should say that he used to give me a bucket and shovel and get me to collect it!!! All that said, this is a brilliant image Harry. You have managed to capture great detail and gorgeous colours. Bravo, my friend!
