Exploration and Analyzes
Where as the three other modules made revolutions around planet, "ATMO"
controlled by A.ZWANG, described spheres increasingly tight, to allow an
analysis of the atmosphere.
D.BROOKS attempted to measure solar radiations and reflections, according to decreasing altitude, whereas A. MAGISTER, with its
analyzer chromotographic, and its others ' nose', carried out the evaluation of
gas composing the atmosphere which the shuttle crossed.
When, for the first time, the machine was posed, the atmospheric assessment was established! For
gases, Nitrogen and Oxygen in ideal proportions (78% & 21%).
The ratios of gas inert, Argon, Neon, Krypton, Xenon were distributed between 0,8% and 0,000008%!
Traces of carbon dioxide, oxidizes of nitrogen and ozone.
The ideal for the human bodies.
In more, the layer of Ozone was a little more important, between 12 & 70kms height.
Absorption of the U.V. and the light as on Earth.
Consequently, exploration would be carried out without behaviours of protections...

Excellent analysis .. and very wise to be cautious and examine the atomsphere in great detail. It is wonderful news that exploration can take place without protective gear and oxygen tanks!
